/ GETTING STARTED

Evaluating the Existing Experience

I began the project with site visits and stakeholder workshops to evaluate the existing wayfinding and signage system, identify navigation pain points, and understand the needs of both users and project stakeholders. These insights established a clear foundation for developing a cohesive and scalable wayfinding strategy across both the renovated and new portions of the building.

/ KEY DECISION POINTS

Mapping the User Journey

Experience mapping helped identify key decision points where signage or experiential landmarks were needed to guide users through the space. By understanding how people move through the environment, I could strategically place cues that support intuitive navigation and shape the experience we want to facilitate at each step along the way.

/ INFORMATION ARCHITECTURE

Structuring the Wayfinding System

I developed the information architecture for the entire wayfinding system by organizing content into a clear hierarchy and applying principles of progressive disclosure. This approach ensures users receive the right information at the right moment, breaking complex navigation into manageable steps that guide people through the building with clarity and confidence.

/ DESIGN CONCEPT

Designing a Cohesive Visual System

I developed a design system that translated the architectural theme of light into the signage form, materials, and graphic expression.

By aligning the visual language with the architecture, the system created a cohesive identity that supports navigation while reinforcing the spatial experience of the building.

Signage System Visual Strategy

Guiding Every Step with Intuitive Landmarks and Visual Cues

I applied the design system at key decision points throughout the building, using consistent visual cues and architectural landmarks to guide users intuitively toward their destinations. These moments help people stay oriented and move confidently through the space from arrival to their final destination.
